Come out & Play - Kitty News
The snow has begun to melt and we anticipate the arrival of some warm-ish sunny days. The animals and humans are waking up from their hibernation and starting to get active.
Cats in Room A are forever ready to cuddle.
Troy, a handsome kitty who used to run and hide every time someone tried to approach him, has now begun to cosy up with not only Simon his best kitty friend, but also our volunteer Karol who’s currently living with them in their room. He likes to quietly sneak up on her and purr, when she’s sitting still.
Room B houses the shy, less socialized cats. But we’re happy to tell you that this is now changing. Martin was known as the cat that sat on top of the play area and stared at you from a distance. Our volunteer Rai-Lee has been spending time in that room and noticed that sometimes in the night, Sara and Martin cuddle up next to her. They also play with her and chase her fingers from under the covers. Cassie, Yumi & Fay were active and ready to play after feeding time too. This room also has two toothless cats that need special care. You can help care for these beautiful kitties by being a monthly sponsor. Faye & Rupert in Room B would also love some more human connection, so drop by at the shelter and spend some time feeding them treats.
We love having visitors. Infact, we even had this adorable tanuki come by the shelter. We welcome everyone.
Room C - Laura, our longtime volunteer has become attached to Tsuki. We’re noticing Tsuki feel the same way. She comes out of her hiding spot to play with Laura every time she enters the room. Tsuki would earlier only play if there were some treats involved but not anymore.
