Helping people help pets

Japan Cat Network International

At Japan Cat Network International, we have been helping people help pets for over 20 years.

We are a no-kill shelter providing a high standard of care for our rescue cats.

We prioritize TNR of community cats, animal welfare education, and high-quality adoptions.

About us

Who we are

The Japan Cat Network International is a US registered 501(c)(3) organization helping the international community in Japan with cat welfare issues.

With so few humane sheltering options in Japan, and with communication difficulties, finding cats or kittens in distress can be a challenging experience for travelers and international residents. We try to advise, guide, connect with resources, and intervene as much as possible, to help find positive outcomes.

We work with groups like TNR Tokai to rescue vulnerable cats and kittens from TNVR project areas. We could do so much more with more help, both financially, and hands on.
