Skatte (pronounced SKAD-uh) is a friendly, playful, lovable kitten that was recently brought into the JCN program.

A Danish traveler reached out about a kitten found in desperate circumstances. The kitten was crying out for help, alone and scared, in the middle of nowhere. The traveler was worried that without Japanese language ability, it would be difficult to quickly find help. We answered the call. While we can’t always respond to every case by taking in kittens or cats, we try to help whenever and however possible.

We gave instructions on how to make an emergency carrier, and he brought the kitten in. Skatte seemed malnourished but was alert and eating well. He had a vet check and came back healthy, FILV/FELV negative, with just a mild cold.

He’s settling in well. Happy, comfortable, and very playful. He will be joining the other JCN kittens soon.
