In March of 2025, tiny Tangy was rescued from the streets of Tokai in Aichi prefecture. Her current fosters saw a picture of her soulful little face and ask that she be kept as a foster candidate. JCN agreed and Tangy turned out to be one of the most grateful kittens to be off the streets. She was due to be released, which is why she has a sakura ear.
When we first met Tangy, after she was trapped and rescued
Tangy is the pluckiest little kitten you'll ever meet. She knows what she wants (treats and pets) and how to get it (meowing at you whenever you cross her path). As Tangy's coat is a mix of many colors, her personality is equally complex. She puts herself to bed at night and can be found napping by herself during the day but, when she sees you, her mascara eyes sparkle with affection and excitement. Tangy will quickly get up to weave between your legs or crawl into your lap and coo. If you are under a plush blanket or wearing fuzzy pajamas, she immediately begins making big biscuits and burrowing herself into your knees.
This little social butterfly plays very well with other cats, big and small, young and old. She is a little chubby and not exactly athletic, but she loves to romp and has a surprising speedy right hook! Her confidence has been growing rapidly, and she has learned a lot about socializing from her foster peers! Tangy would be okay as a single cat, but would thrive with a feline friend to spend her time with.
