Good-bye. Good-bye. Good-bye.

This week three of our vounteers came to the conclusion of their time at our shelter. They have gone on to continue to explore Japan before the return to their homes in France.

During their time at the shelter they have had to deal with full spectic tanks, cleaning, a mouse, emptying expired tin cans, cleaning, vet visits, cold days, and riant days too. But during that same time they got to care for and know our cats and dogs at the shelter.

Here is what Hugo has to say about his time with us:

Hey! I left Inawashiro an hour ago and I wanted to say thank you for the experience I lived here. I remembered when I arrived I didn't really know what to expect other than taking care of cats. I met amazing people there, learned a lot of new things and had the chance to befriend cats and dogs that are here.Image title

In addition to that, the shelter is situated in a wonderful place with a magnificient landscape. What a pleasure it was to wake up every morning surrounded by trees and mountains all around me! The thing I will miss the most are the dog walks where we just went for one or two hours with the dogs in the forest or around the lake. I think we both appreciated those walks the same! It was also amazing to be able to help socialize wild cats that are not used to humans and see the prorgress you can make in a short time. I was so happy when I woke up one morning to find Sarah sleeping alongside me! So rewarding! Also a big thanks to Michie, she  is really an amazing person and that helped us many times and helped us discover some really nice spots! So thank you everyone for everything and see yah!Image title

We can't thank these guys, or any of our volunteers for coming to work for us. We can't do what we do with you.

And Hugo, the kitties miss you and are laying on your bed wishing you were still here.Image title
