Mai-chan was found in the countryside with her two kittens. She was very nervous at first but was receptive to food right away. Her condition required surgery, which was more difficult than expected as she had a lot of infected tissue. Despite that, she is recovering well and taking good care of her two babies. Her babies are somewhat strong but still at a delicate age. They're doing their best to nurse and we are supplementing their nursing with bottled milk.
Mai-chan is now very friendly and chatty, rubbing humans and seeking pets. Her babies are getting bigger and the whole family is thriving. The three of them are living in a house separate from the main shelter with a live-in volunteer.
